Oliver’s Furniture Service was founded in 1964 by L.Phillip Oliver. The company was originally known as Phil’s Furniture and was a one-man show for many years. In 1987, the company was incorporated as L.P. Oliver and Sons, Inc. and was officially named Oliver’s Furniture Service. It was truly a family business, with five family members working for the company at that time
In 1996, thirty-two years after starting the business, Phil decided to retire, knowing he was leaving the company in the very capable hands of his youngest son, Patrick. Patrick grew up with the company and started “officially” working there as a teenager. In his years of serving as president of the company, Patrick has strived to maintain the integrity and high quality of service that his father took such great pride in providing to his customers over the years
